Ian Samko

"I don't DJ weddings because I love music," Hudson Valley wedding DJ Ian Samko said. "I DJ weddings because I love what music does to people." 

 

Ian, aka DJ K.O. learned to DJ in a friend's basement, spinning tech house. College took him to SUNY Cortland. Clubs and lounges across the Hudson Valley came next. And he's shared festival stages with acts like Steve Aoki and Kendrick Lamar

 

Now he brings that same energy to weddings. He's done over 75 of them. But he does it differently. The music reflects the couple's taste. Announcements stay minimal.

 

Ian is an open-format DJ who knows pop, EDM, rock, hip hop, and Latin. He speaks conversational Spanish, picked up DJing in Latin bars upstate. He is from Ellenville, NY.
