Customized music & minimal
announcements for couples getting
married in Philadelphia

Yes, We Actually Work in Philadelphia

We’re a team of non-traditional wedding DJs who regularly work in Philadelphia.  We bring the same customized, low-key approach that couples know us for in New York. We have DJs who live in the Philly area. And our NYC DJs will travel there.

We’re familiar with the venues, the logistics, and the flow of weddings in the city. From Center City to Old City, couples book us because they want a wedding that sounds like them. No cliche "wedding" playlist. No over-the-top MC.

Why Couples in Philadelphia Book Us

Most couples come to us because they’re worried about ending up with a DJ who talks too much or plays generic wedding music.

Customized Music

  • Your wedding will sound like you

  • You can choose as many, or as few, of the songs you want

  • Our DJs never play cliche wedding songs (unless you ask for them)

Minimal Announcements

  • Our DJs don't use a sports announcer voice

  • During dancing, your DJ won't say one word

  • Our DJs make all necessary announcements like introductions or announcing who will give a speech

DJs who actually mix

  • No gaps: the DJ blends the songs together

  • Songs aren't played from start to finish (unless you want)

  • Your DJ will read the room (and guests will dance more)

NYC Roots, Philadelphia Focus

Couples in Philadelphia book us because they want a DJ who is calm, prepared, and easy to work with. We are comfortable handling weddings with moving parts, tight timelines, and guests with very different tastes, so nothing feels rushed or awkward.

We started in New York City, where we learned how to DJ for diverse crowds and non-traditional venues. That experience carries over directly to Philadelphia weddings, from historic spaces to modern venues with real logistical constraints.

On your wedding day, this means smoother transitions, fewer announcements, and a dance floor that builds naturally without forcing moments or drawing attention to the DJ.

FAQs for Philadelphia Couples

Do you charge a travel fee for Philadelphia weddings?

Not if one of our Philadelphia-area DJs is available on your date. If not, we will have DJs in NYC who are available and the travel fee is usually $500 for the city of Philadelphia. It is based on distance.

Can we choose our DJ?

Yes, all of our couples choose their DJ and almost all meet with them on a Zoom call before booking.

How far in advance should we book?

Couples who are getting married on a Saturday in September, October, May, or June should try to book one year in advance. This will ensure that you get a good selection of DJs who are still available. For Saturdays in other months, six to eight months is pretty good.  If you are getting married on an off day or a weekday, three to six months is enough.

Do you bring your own sound equipment?

Yes! We bring up to three separate sound systems for ceremony, cocktail hour and reception, and they are set up before your guests arrive.

Does a DJ cover the ceremony and cocktail hour?

Yes, this is included in the price. It is not extra.

Can we choose our own playlist?

Yes, you can. You can choose all of it, or part of it. Our DJs are here to help you craft the playlist (if you want).

Will the DJ make a lot of announcements?

No. But it does depend on how many announcements your wedding needs. Our DJs make all the necessary announcements. If you have many traditions and formalities at your wedding, there will be a lot more announcements. If you have a non-traditional wedding that is mostly just eating and dancing, there will probably only be a handful of announcements. Once dancing starts, our DJs put the mic down and do not make any announcements during dancing. We don't hype up the crowd

Can the DJ keep it low-key and non-cheesy?

Yes, this is what we specialize in. The focus will always be on the music and dancing, not on the DJ.

Will the DJ take guest requests?

Only if you want them to. We send you a music worksheet to fill out. We ask you about this in there. You can choose whatever feels right to you, and the DJ will follow your wishes.

When do we meet our DJ?

We  suggest you meet your DJ before booking. We do a discovery call with you, the DJ, and someone from our team almost always. Sometimes couples are decided and they want to book before meeting the DJ, but that is not the norm. A few weeks before your wedding, you will jump on another Zoom call with your DJ to do a final planning call

What’s the DJ backup plan if something goes wrong?

We send you another DJ of equal quality at the same terms and price.

Is the DJ insured?

Yes. All of our DJs carry liability insurance.

Pricing & Availability

Our pricing is straightforward and depends on which DJs are available for your date.

Philadelphia-area DJs Price

Our DJs who are based in the Philadelphia area are $2,950.

New York City–based DJs Price
