Harsh and Linette had one of the coolest looking weddings ever. It was at sound river studios in Long Island city. It is a giant white loft. They filled it with huge balloon sculptures. Read on to learn all about this fun and cool Sound River Studios wedding.

Sound River Studios is a large loft style wedding venue in Long Island City, Queens, New York City. It is one of the largest wedding venues in NYC. It is a blank slate. Huge white walls with very high ceilings. It is great for large guest-counts and big imaginations. If you've always dreamed of designing a big wedding, this is the venue for you.

The event started out with guests arriving to a cocktail reception. Drinks and snacks were served. They asked for indie dance music like Christine and the Queens, Billie Eilish and the knife. Guests nodded their heads and tapped their feet to the chill tunes.
Harsh gave a welcome toast about an hour after guests arrived. Then dinner began. There were rows of long tables guests sent at while enjoying dinner.

Linette and Harsh had booked our photo booth. Non-traditional Wedding DJs has a great digital photo booth. It is very popular. The guests at this wedding went crazy for it. They took hundreds of photos and used it the entire event.
After dinner there was cake cutting. Next, guests headed to the front area where Ben was DJing. Bollywood dancers did a fun performance of two or three songs. After that there was a balloon drop.

Besides having beautiful balloon sculptures throughout the room, there was a balloon drop. Earlier that day, balloons had been hoisted up in a giant net over the dance floor. When the Bollywood performance ended, someone pulled a string. The balloons fell down on everyone’s head. The crowd went crazy and loved it.

Then they danced for the rest of the event. As you can see, there weren’t many traditions. The event consisted of eating, using the photo booth and dancing to Ben’s music. That was the majority of it. And it was really fun!
For their main dance set they asked for wedding classics like Whitney Houston’s "I Wanna Dance with Somebody" and "Material Girl" by Madonna.
They also asked for indie pop like "Dancing on My Own" by Robyn and Save Your Tears" by the Weeknd. We also played some hip-hop throwbacks, 2010s pop music like Rihanna and the Chainsmokers, and pop rock like the Killers and Blink 182.
This was one wedding where the photo booth may have been more popular than dancing. But all guests hit the dance floor at one part of the event. They were a fun crowd who loved music.
