The venue sits on an 80 acre working farm in Pocantico Hills, on land that was once part of the Rockefeller estate. The ceremony usually takes place in an outdoor courtyard surrounded by stone buildings and open farmland. Cocktail hour moves to the ground floor.

Then the reception takes place upstairs in the Hay Loft, a large reception room with dramatic stone walls and a warm, intimate feel for a space that seats up to 260.

The food is extraordinary. This is a two Michelin star restaurant that also hosts weddings, and you feel that in every course. Couples who care about what their guests eat and drink will not find a better option in the metro area.

The kitchen at Tappan Hill is a central production hub for their other venues across the region, which tells you something about the scale and quality of what they do. Whitby Castle

Whitby Castle in Rye is exactly what it sounds like. It is a stone castle on a golf course with sweeping views of Long Island Sound. It has a Disney aesthetic that is not really our style to be honest.

But we will say this: the team running events there is genuinely great. The manager, Ralph, and his crew take real pride in how weddings are run, and it shows. Our DJs enjoy working there because events are organized and the staff is a pleasure to work with.
